Items shown below are just some of the options that Allegro carries that align with Lake Forest Dance Academy's dress code. More options are available in-store and online.
We welcome students of all gender identities and gender expressions. Dancers are free to wear what best matches their gender identity. Our studio has chosen the following attire expectations with everyone's safety and comfort as our top priority. Multiple options are listed for each class style below.

Tiny Tots & Tippy Toes
Comfortable clothes, bare feet or ballet shoes, leotard and tights are optional.
Ballet Tap Combo
Solid color leotard with tights and ballet shoes that most closely match the dancer's skin tone. Black tap shoes with velcro or buckle closure preferred.
Early Years Acro
Form fitting dance attire: black leggings, mid-thigh shorts, leotard, form fitting tank/t-shirt, no long sleeves
Ballet Classes
Solid color leotard with tights and ballet shoes that most closely match the dancer's skin tone.
Short dance skirts may be worn at the discretion of the teacher.
Solid color shirt, black bottoms, and ballet shoes.
Modern/Lyrical Classes
Solid color leotard, and convertible, footless, or stirrup tights, or black leggings.
Solid color shirt and black bottoms.
No shoes worn for this class.
Jazz Classes
Solid color leotard with tights or black leggings. Dance shorts may be worn at the discretion of the teacher.
Tan jazz shoes required for level 1 & 2
Black jazz shoes required for level 3 & up
Solid color shirt with black bottoms.
Acro Classes
Form fitting dance attire: black leggings, mid-thigh shorts, leotard, or form fitting tank/t-shirt. No long sleeves.
No jeans, dresses, or skirts.
Tap Classes
Solid color leotard with tights or black leggings. Dance shorts may be worn at the discretion of the teacher.
Black tap shoes. Black tap oxford required for Tap 3 & up.
Solid color shirt with black bottoms.
Studio Approved Warm-Ups
Form fitting knitwear, ripstop shorts or pants, fitted leg warmers, or dance skirts (not tutus).
